This harness is used with the JD 2630 display and GPS receiver to perform field mapping for soil sampling, etc. The harness includes:
- 12V plug for power; maintains constant power to the display and StarFire® Receiver. (A separate toggle switch de-activates the Display, when leaving ATV for a short time allowing the display memory to remain active.)
- JD 2630 Display connector
- GPS StarFire® Receiver connector
- CAN Bus Terminator
- Toggle switch for standby mode
If this is to be used with a vehicle (i.e. Pickup truck, etc.) as opposed to an ATV, a six (6) foot extension harness is available to extend the GPS receiver to the roof. WM has extensive experience producing prototype harness for a major Agricultural OEM. The harnesses have ranged from small six (6) inch adapters up to large 50 foot harnesses with 70+ connectors.
We have traditionally been able to ship prototype harnesses within ten (10) working days (M-F) after receipt of PO. This is policy is dependent upon the availability of the connectors, terminals, wire seals and any other harness components.
Problems in the past that have caused potential shipping delays:
– Design changes
– Print mistakes (i.e. connector/terminal inconsistencies)
– Unique or hard to get parts
– Quantity and/or complexity of harness
– Identifying component mfr’s part numbers from customers’ part number
– Calculating wire lengths for large harnesses
Process:
A) Initial Process
– Send hard copy or pdf of prints. (other formats may be a problem)
– We review all prints for inconsistencies. (Note: we will need the e-mail address of ONE person to contact to answer any and all questions we may have.)
– If an Excel file of the wire table is available, that speed up the quoting process
– A quote is usually available within 48 hours
B) Mfg Process
– When the quote is accepted, and PO received, we then begin ordering material and begin the production process. (Terms are NCNR, Net/10)
– As the process continues, we will keep you updated as needed
– Upon completion, ALL harnesses are 100% circuit checked
C) Shipping
– When parts are shipped, an e-mail will be sent giving you the shippers tracking number (NOTE: UPS has a large depot nearby and is our preferred shipper. Please provide us with you preferred shipper and shipping account number.)
– The invoice will be sent via e-mail
NOTE:Should there be a need for any rework or repair, we need to mutually agree upon the process and conditions .

- obtaining a drawing of the harness, or
- obtaining the actual harness and backward engineering it.
In one instance WM was sent the harness from a 1939 Chevy Coupe and we were able to successfully find al of he parts and assemble a new harness.
